These are the terms you agree to when you use CradleAdventures. We've tried to write them plainly. The most important promise: every story you create belongs to you.
1. The service
CradleAdventures (“we”, “us”), a product of MoonCore Labs, provides a website and mobile app that uses AI to generate personalized bedtime stories for children aged 0 to 12. The service is intended for purchase and use by parents and legal guardians only.
Advertising: The service is ad-free today. We may introduce advertising in the future to help keep the service running. If we ever do, we will update these terms first, we will never sell your or your child’s personal information to advertisers, and we will not use behavioural profiling or ad-tracking of children.
2. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity that happens through your account.
3. Story copyright, yours, completely
- Every story you generate is yours: You hold the personal copyright on the text and illustrations of every story you create on CradleAdventures.
- Free & Moonbeam plans: Personal-use rights. Read it, save it, share it with family.
- Starweaver plan: Full commercial rights. Publish it, sell it, adapt it, illustrate it further, it's yours to do with as you wish — subject to your own copyright due diligence (see section 8).
- What we own: The platform itself, our voice characters (Stardust, Tale Keepers, Gigglesnort, Jolly Bloom, Snugglepot), the art-style presets, and the underlying software. You get to use them to create your stories.
- Our imprint stays on the book: The story is yours, but it was made on CradleAdventures, and a modest CradleAdventures credit travels with it. Every keepsake and commercial export carries the line “A CradleAdventures tale” on the title page, together with our mark in the footer of each page and on the certificate of authorship where one is issued. You agree not to remove, obscure, crop out or alter that credit, and not to present a CradleAdventures story as having been made anywhere else. This is attribution only, it does not give us any share of your copyright, your royalties, or your right to publish and sell the work.
- Your name on the cover: Where your plan allows it you may add your own name (or your family’s, or a pen name) to the cover before you export, in the cover font of your choosing. You are responsible for the accuracy of that name and for having the right to use it. Adding a name never, by itself, grants commercial rights, see section 8.
4. What you may not do
- Attempt to generate content that depicts violence, abuse, or sexualization of minors.
- Upload photos containing human faces (the system rejects these automatically).
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract our AI models or voice profiles.
- Use the service to harass, deceive, or harm any person.
- Share your account credentials with anyone outside your immediate family.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. We'll always tell you why and, where possible, give you a chance to fix it.
5. Subscriptions and cancellation
When you subscribe to a monthly plan (Moonbeam, Dreamweave, or Starweaver), your card is charged each month until you cancel. When you subscribe to an annual plan, your card is charged once per year until you cancel.
Cancellation: You can cancel at any time from your profile page, or by emailing support@cradleadventures.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep full access to your paid features until that date, then your account reverts to the free Lullaby tier. Every story you saved stays in your library either way.
Refund policy: Monthly and annual subscriptions are non-refundable for the current billing period once started. This is standard for software subscriptions and lets us keep our prices low. If you cancel partway through a billing period, you keep paid access until that period ends, and you are not billed again.
Magic Moonspark packs: Shimmer, Twinkle, Sparkle, and Constellation Moonspark packs are one-time purchases and are non-refundable. Unused Moonsparks never expire and can be spent any time.
Free tier and the 3-day Dreamweave trial: The Lullaby tier is permanently free, use it for as long as you like (3 stories every month, plus 2 bonus stories the month you sign up, no card on file). New accounts may also be offered 3 free days of Dreamweave, once per account, in one of two forms:
- Without a card: Dreamweave is unlocked for 3 days and your account returns to the free Lullaby tier automatically at the end. Nothing is charged, and there is nothing to cancel.
- With a card (“keep the plan”): Your card is stored but not charged for the first 3 days. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription begins and the first payment is taken on day 4. Cancel any time from your profile page, and see the refund policy above.
The trial is a one-time offer per account and may be withdrawn or changed for new sign-ups at any time. Welcome discount codes apply to the first billing period only, cannot be combined with each other, and are subject to the terms shown with each code.
6. Children
CradleAdventures is for the use of adults creating stories for children. Children do not have accounts. Children should not access the service unsupervised. See our Safety Policy and Privacy Policy for details.
7. AI-generated content disclaimer
Stories and illustrations are generated by an AI system and are provided “as is.” We apply strict safety filters but no system is perfect. Please review each story before reading it to your child. If you spot anything inappropriate, please tell us at safety@cradleadventures.com and we will investigate within 24 hours.
Because content is produced by AI, we do not and cannot warrant that any story or illustration is original, novel, or free of resemblance to existing works, and we make no representation or warranty of non-infringement. AI systems are trained on large bodies of material and may, by chance, generate output that resembles a name, character, plot, image or phrase that is protected by copyright, trademark or other rights.
8. Commercialization & your responsibility
CradleAdventures supplies a creative platform and grants you ownership of the stories you create with it. We are not a publisher, agent, or rights-clearing service, and we do not review your stories for infringement.
If you choose to publish, post publicly, distribute, sell, print, or otherwise commercialize a story, you are solely responsible for first conducting your own copyright, trademark, likeness and other clearance due diligenceto ensure the story does not infringe anyone's rights. Where there is any doubt, you agree to seek advice from a qualified professional before publishing. CradleAdventures accepts no responsibility for your decision to commercialize, or for the results of doing so.
9. Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless CradleAdventures and MoonCore Labs, and their owners, officers, employees and contractors, from and against any claim, demand, action, loss, liability, damage or cost (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) any story or content you create, publish, distribute or sell; (b) your breach of these terms; or (c) your violation of any law or of any third party's rights.
10. Limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is.” To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the previous 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (such as for gross negligence or willful misconduct).
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If a change is material we will email account holders at least 14 days before it takes effect.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario, except where local consumer-protection law gives you the right to sue in your home jurisdiction.
